Kids Planet is the University's third party nursery supplier, responsible for the operation of Bradmore Road, Jack Straws Lane, Mansion House, The Triangle and Woodstock Road nurseries. Kids Planet took over the management of the University of Oxford nurseries on 5 July 2021.

Why did the University choose Kids Planet?

Kids Planet was chosen following a rigorous tender process, supported by the University's procurement department. A number of representatives were on the selection panel, including an education specialist from the Department of Education, parents of children currently in nursery, members of the Childcare Services Steering Group and the former Head of Childcare Services.

How will Kids Planet communicate with parents?

Kids Planet use 'Famly' software to log observations, share photos and record next steps for children. Think of it like an online learning journey! Parents are able to access their child's information via the 'Famly' app, which also allows for two-way communication between parents and nursery. Kids Planet provides further information about the app and their policy on online safety.
