Graduate students who have reached the end of their standard period of fee liability may be required to pay a termly University and/or college continuation charge.

University continuation charge

Graduate students who have reached the end of their standard period of fee liability may be required to pay a termly University and/or a college continuation charge.

The University continuation charge per term is:

For part-time students, the termly charge will be half of the termly rate payable by full-time students.

The information below is correct as of September 2025. Some colleges have yet to confirm their charges for the 2026/27 academic year; this page will be updated as soon as these figures are available.

Most colleges apply a continuation charge once students have reached the end of their standard period of fee liability. The table below provides details of the college continuation charges that apply. If you are a part-time student and are unsure of whether your college's continuation charge is applied at a different rate for part-time study, please contact your college for further information. Fees will usually increase annually. For details, please see our guidance on likely increases to fees and charges.
