If you are currently a researcher employed by the University of Oxford, and require guidance on accessing support to identify appropriate funding, or are in the process of making an application, please contact the research support team in your faculty or department in the first instance.

Researchers are strongly encouraged to consult Oxford’s Trusted Research and Due Diligence guidance before applying for funding. 

We are committed to embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all aspects of research funding. This includes how funding is accessed, supported, and managed.

We are working to identify and remove barriers for underrepresented groups and promote transparent inclusive research practices in how funding is accessed, supported and managed.

If an audit is required as part of the terms and conditions for receipt of research funding, the Research Accounts Assurance Team is happy to facilitate access to relevant systems and information as required for the designated auditors. Please do not contact individual academic departments or grant holders directly if an audit is required. All research funding audits are coordinated by the Research Accounts Assurance Team in the Finance Division.
