Oxford Policy Engagement Network – OPEN

At the University of Oxford we consistently strive to bridge the gap between academic research and public policy in order to address some of the world’s biggest challenges.

Through knowledge exchange activities, collaborative projects and fellowships, our academics connect regularly with policy professionals at local, regional, national, and international levels. Our researchers frequently contribute to policy briefings, parliamentary inquiries and consultations, bringing their expertise to real-world policy challenges. We also foster exciting new opportunities for graduate students to engage meaningfully with policymakers and community or charity organisations, to support evidence-based public policymaking at a local level.

Policy professionals can explore some of the routes to engaging with our researchers at the links below. You can also sign up to The Oxford Briefing, a monthly, personalised round-up of the latest policy-relevant research, news, and opportunities from across the University of Oxford.

Since its launch in 2020, the network has grown to include research professionals and students in more than 50 departments and faculties, as well as policy professionals in Oxford, across Whitehall and the UK, and around the world.
