Resources
Oxford for South East can provide you with the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your future.
Students
If you are nearing the end of your schooling and are thinking about your next steps, our outreach programmes offer the chance to experience life as a university student, as well as providing expert advice on university admissions. We believe that a degree opens doors and is life changing for many people, but we also know that deciding where or whether to go to university is not always easy, particularly if you don't know people who have been, or who can tell you what it's like.
Oxford for South East can provide you with the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your future. Our programmes are designed to support you at whatever stage you are in school:
- For students aged 11 to 16, we focus on providing the information you need to make informed decisions about GCSE and A-Level choices.
- For students aged 16 to 18, we shift the focus to providing information about university admissions, helping you to explore what Oxford has to offer and developing the skills necessary to make successful applications to Oxford.

Teachers
Choosing where to go to university can be a life-changing decision. We hugely value the role that teachers and careers advisors play in encouraging students to consider their options and make informed decisions. To support teachers, Oxford for South East provides a range of continuous professional development and learning activities, some of which is accredited. We also provide a wide range of free online teaching materials to supplement classroom teaching and challenge highly-able students
Our CPD for teachers of students aged 16 to 18 relates to providing information about admissions, and supporting students applying to Oxford. Increasingly we are also working with Key Stage 3 and 4 teachers, helping with the development of curriculum support materials that will benefit a wide range of students.

Parents and carers
Happy and safe, that's all we want for our children: but sometimes it's not so easy to know how to help them get there.
As a parent or carer, you are in a great position to support your child as they make decisions about their education. Here at Oxford, we really value students' families and want you to have all the information you need to feel confident in your important supporting role. We have put together a number of resources to help you to encourage them to look ahead and consider the implications of their choices.
