Security related issues in international research collaboration.

Trusted Research refers to policies and practices that safeguard people, infrastructure, assets and research outcomes. It addresses security risks from international collaborations, ensuring research is conducted safely and securely, while protecting the reputations of researchers and institutions.

The Trusted Research team ([email protected]) in Research Services supports researchers, Departments, and Faculties in matters relating to security-related risks, export control legislation – the University’s Export Control in Research Policy outlines the University’s policy for export control compliance, the National Security & Investments Act, and more for:

  • Research activities associated with a research contract;
  • Research projects involving an Oxford research funding application or award; and
  • Informal research collaborations

Trusted Research at Oxford also encompasses due diligence checks on external collaborators where funds will be passed through and managed by the University of Oxford.
