Support for fixed-term researchers (Researcher Hub)

We are here to support all researchers on fixed-term research or teaching contracts at Oxford. Our activities will also benefit academic and professional service colleagues in their work with fixed-term researchers.

Our aim is to help you: settle in comfortably; make connections; grow as a person; extend your research expertise; approach your next career step with confidence.

Oxford is rich in opportunities, once you know how to find them!

Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers

The University’s Charter for the Career Development of Researchers sets out a clear framework of support, outlining the University’s Concordat commitments, as well as the shared responsibilities of researchers and their PIs or line managers. Research demands focus, dedication, and sustained intellectual effort, which can make it difficult for researchers to prioritise career development alongside their day-to-day project work; the Charter seeks to address this.
