Concordat to Support Research Integrity

The Concordat to Support Research Integrity represents continuing support for research integrity in the UK. Since 2012, and currently in its third edition, the Concordat sets the framework by which the UK research community, and those collaborating with them, can support the trustworthiness of UK research.

Universities, funders and the research community all commit to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity, embedding a culture or research integrity, effective management of questionable research practices and accountability and continuous improvement in research integrity

In line with the requirements of the Concordat, the University’s Research and Innovation Committee (as delegated by University Council) reviews and approves an annual statement summarising how research integrity is promoted and supported, including details of related activities undertaken across the University. This statement also includes anonymised information about how allegations of misconduct in research have been assessed and investigated.
