The college's main library reading room is the Tate Library which is open 24 hours a day during term time and some vacations. The Library has fifty study spaces arranged over two floors with printing and scanning facilities, single study spaces and WiFi throughout. Collaborative study space is also available within the college.

The Library has friendly staff who are there to support access to college resources as well as providing guidance and help to navigating the Bodleian’s systems, libraries and staff. In addition to the modern collections available in the Tate which are focussed on current courses, the Library also has extensive archival and special collections items which are available for students to use.

Wi-Fi access is available throughout most of the college, including student accommodation.

The college offers access to the University gym and swimming pool.

There is a college punt (the 'Royle Yacht'), a college choir and regular concerts during term time.

The Harris Manchester College Middle Common Room (MCR) is located in one of the graduate houses, which also contains a kitchen for use by all graduate students. The MCR Committee organises a number of social events each term.

The President of the MCR is entitled to attend the meetings of HMC's Governing Body to represent the college's graduate students. MCR members also have access to all JCR facilities.

All graduate accommodation is on the main college site. Accommodation is only available in single study-bedrooms; those requiring family accommodation should apply to the University Accommodation Office. The college is currently unable to accommodate all first-year graduates, and accommodation is awarded by ballot.

Accommodation charges include meals during term time - breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, breakfast on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. During vacations accommodation is self-catering only.
