Linacre is a graduate college with a strong environmental and egalitarian ethos. The student community comes from more than 80 different nations and most are new to Oxford.

About the college

The college takes students in almost all subject areas creating a vibrant, diverse and international community and is committed to providing funding opportunities for underrepresented groups. Most students are in their 20s and 30s.

Students and fellows - the academics attached to the college - eat and socialise together. Partners and children are welcome. Linacre has one common room for all and no High Table. 

Linacre is strongly committed to reducing its impact on the environment. Many members of the college's community are studying or researching environmental issues and Linacre is a leader amongst Oxford institutions in environmental innovation. 

As a graduate college, Linacre’s facilities are available to its students throughout the year.

The college is situated 50 metres from the Science Area and University Parks, and only a ten-minute walk from many departments and the centre of Oxford.
