About us

St Hilda’s is situated a short walk from Oxford city centre, on the East bank of the River Cherwell; with the University Sports Centre and the vibrant Cowley Road, full of cafes, music venues, bars and global cuisines, on its doorstep.

All first years live on the main college site and can choose to live in college accommodation for the entirety of their degree. Shared kitchen facilities are available, and our beautiful dining hall overlooking the river offers a variety of food that is sustainable, local and seasonal.

The college is a caring academic community, with passionate and supportive tutors, a dedicated welfare team, and one of the most extensive college library collections in Oxford. We also offer a generous range of bursaries and financial awards for academic work, travel, sport, and other activities to help you make the most of your time here. Regardless of your background, we want you to become a part of our community, feel like you belong, settle in quickly, and go on to achieve your full potential.

Not exactly. You can put a college's campus code on your UCAS form to specify a preference but you might still be shortlisted and offered a place by another college.
