St Hugh's College
UCAS campus code: R
Founded in 1886, St Hugh’s was established to offer an Oxford education to women who could not afford the fees of the University at the time. Today, St Hugh's retains a strong sense of its radical tradition and of the importance of opening Oxford to all who would do well here, welcoming people from every kind of background.

About us
Known for its extensive, tranquil gardens, St Hugh’s is one of the largest colleges in Oxford. Accommodation (much of it ensuite) is offered throughout an undergraduate’s course, along with a large, well-stocked college library and, unusually, a Bodleian Reading Room.
St Hugh’s also benefits from a range of catering options. In addition to the food provision in the dining hall, all rooms have access to a kitchen, and a café offers food throughout the day and a modern space in which to work. The College is a supportive environment; funds are available to address unforeseen financial hardship. There is a gym, and student-run bar, and the chapel and separate multi-faith prayer room are open to all college members, regardless of belief.
