Global Oxford
The world faces major global challenges, including climate change, threats to democracy, and rapid technological advances. The University of Oxford is committed to helping find evidence-based solutions to these challenges, envisaging alternative futures, and upholding values such as truth, open debate and free speech.
We work in partnership with other universities, governments, business and non-profit organisations across the world, using our global brand, convening power and research excellence for the benefit of society and the planet. In all our partnerships, we aspire to an approach that is genuine, sustainable and based on co-creation with the communities we work within.
Over the coming years we will:
- Ensure our world-class research continues to inform and shape international policy-making, particularly in critical areas such as climate and the environment, leveraging our partnerships with other international organisations, governments, business and NGOs to do so.
- Strengthen and expand key partnerships with other universities across the world, in order to maximise our capacity to address the world’s major challenges in a strategic, transparent and outcome-driven way.
- Support commmunities and higher education institutions affected by conflict and crisis by sharing our collections and digital resources, and by supporting pathways to higher education for refugees and displaced people.
