A Junior Common Room (JCR) is both the cohort of undergraduate students at a college and the physical space in college where students can meet, socialise
JCR committees are student-led bodies that represent all undergraduate students within a college, focusing on welfare, academic support, and social life. Committee positions are elected by the JCR with terms usually lasting one year.

Oxford SU's Conference of Common Rooms (CCR) brings together JCR Presidents to discuss shared interests, address students' concerns and build a collective voice.
Representative Committees (RepComs) are a termly forum for representatives of communities to deal with matters of shared interest and common purpose, ensuring representation of those groups at all levels of the University and its constituent colleges. Students can attend, speak at, and observe these meetings if they self-define as part of the relevant group.
