Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

Knowledge transfer is one of the University’s strategic priorities. The University participates in the national Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme, which helps businesses second an academic or research graduate.

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership:

  • enables a business to bring new skills and the latest academic thinking to deliver a specific, strategic innovation project
  • lasts between 12 and 36 months, depending on what the project is and the needs of the business
  • can include a period where the researcher is located at the company's facilities

The University KTP officer provides general advice and support to projects, from the initial exploratory discussion stage through to completion.
